The Discovery Series (Grades K–3)
Exploring the Fundamentals "This program introduces younger students to the foundational tools of a working studio. We focus on the tactile experience of art—how oil pastels blend, how clay feels in the hands, and how colors change when mixed. It is a gentle environment for building confidence and learning to appreciate the creative process."
Focus: Developing fine motor skills and an early love for traditional mediums.
The Signature Series (Grades 4–6)
Refining Technique and Vision "For older students, we offer a more focused look at technical art skills. We explore how to translate ideas into finished works using professional acrylics and gouache. By studying themes like nature, anatomy, and design, students begin to develop their own personal style and technical patience."
Focus: Understanding light, proportion, and the thoughtful application of paint.
At Atelier Nagaharu, we provide a space for children to explore their creativity with intention. Our Summer Studio Series is designed for young artists who enjoy the process of making. We move at a steady pace, using quality materials to help students see the world a little more clearly through their art.
